Hi - I have research interests in the detection of concealed weapons at stand off distances using (predominantly) millimetre wave polarimetric radar and pattern recognition.  I also undertake research into the detection (on-body) of threat items such as handguns and knives using their Late Time Resonance responses at microwave frequencies.
Another strand to my research is the application of computer vision  and smart sensors (e.g. accelerometers and strain gauges) to the non-destructive testing of the rail and tramway infrastructure and industrial manufacturing processes.
